In a peaceful countryside surrounded by green fields and gentle hills, three young pig siblings lived with their loving mother. Their names were Benny, Lulu, and Oliver, and they spent their days laughing, chasing butterflies, and dreaming about the future. As much as their mother adored them, she knew the time had come for them to step out into the world on their own.
One morning, she gathered them close and spoke with care. “My dear ones,” she said softly, “life isn’t always easy. When you build your homes, make sure they are strong enough to protect you. A little effort today can save you from great trouble tomorrow.” With warm hugs and hopeful hearts, the three siblings set off to begin their new lives.
Benny, the youngest and most carefree, didn’t want to spend much time working. He soon spotted a pile of dry straw nearby and decided it was good enough. In no time at all, he finished his house and smiled proudly. “That was easy!” he laughed, already thinking about games and naps.
Lulu was more patient. She gathered sticks and branches, carefully tying them together. Her house took longer to build, but she felt satisfied when it stood upright. Though it wasn’t perfect, she believed it would do.
Oliver, the eldest and most thoughtful, took his time. He searched far and wide until he found strong bricks and sturdy mortar. With steady hands and determination, he built a solid house that felt safe and dependable. Though the work was tiring, he knew it was worth the effort.
That evening, as the sky turned orange and shadows stretched across the land, a hungry wolf wandered into the area. Catching the scent of pigs, he soon arrived at Benny’s straw house and knocked loudly. “Little pig, little pig, let me come in,” he demanded.
Benny refused, but with a powerful breath, the wolf blew the straw house apart. Terrified, Benny ran as fast as he could to Lulu’s stick house. The wolf followed and tried again. This time, the house held only for a moment before collapsing under the wolf’s fierce huffing and puffing.
Now frightened and desperate, Benny and Lulu rushed to Oliver’s brick house. When the wolf arrived and tried the same trick, he failed. No matter how hard he tried, the house did not move. Exhausted and defeated, the wolf finally gave up and disappeared into the forest.
Safe inside, the three siblings reflected on what had happened. Benny understood that taking shortcuts could lead to danger. Lulu realized that effort matters, but strength matters more. Oliver’s careful planning had protected them all.
From that day forward, the siblings lived together in the strong brick house, wiser and closer than before. They filled their days with joy and laughter, knowing that smart choices and hard work had built not just a home—but a secure future.
