One day, a thief named Nico was running through a crowded street after stealing a diamond from a jewelry store. As he hurried, the diamond slipped from his bag and fell to the ground. Before Nico could grab it, a nearby chicken quickly swallowed it. “Hey! Stop!” Nico shouted, chasing the bird as it darted through narrow lanes.
The chicken ran wildly, flapping its wings, while Nico chased it with all his strength. It suddenly jumped onto a playground swing. As the swing moved back and forth, Nico ran in circles trying to catch it. When he finally got tired and paused, the swing brought the chicken right in front of him, and he quickly grabbed it. “Got you!” he said.
But the chicken pecked him hard on the face and escaped again. Nico cried in pain as he continued chasing it. Soon, the chicken jumped into a parked auto-rickshaw, which suddenly started moving. Confused, Nico grabbed a bicycle nearby and followed it. He rode fast and caught up, but a dog inside the auto bit his hand, forcing him to pull back in pain.
The auto finally stopped near a chicken shop. The shop owner happily picked up the chicken and said it had been missing all day. Nico quietly watched as the chicken was locked in a storeroom with many others. “How will I find which one swallowed my diamond?” he worried.
The next day, Nico returned and waited for the shop to open. When it did, he began buying chickens one by one and having them cut open, hoping to find the diamond. But he found nothing. Day after day, he repeated this strange act, confusing the shop owner.
One evening, the owner told him that he had already given one chicken to a customer for free. Realizing that must be the one, Nico rushed to the customer’s house in disguise as an officer. He asked to join them for dinner, where they were eating chicken biryani.
While pretending to eat, Nico searched through the food for his diamond. The family grew suspicious. Finally, the lady of the house said she had found a shiny stone inside the chicken earlier. She showed it, and Nico’s eyes lit up.
Excited, he tried to grab it, but the man quickly removed Nico’s fake disguise. “So you are the thief!” he said. They called the authorities, and Nico was arrested.
Moral: Greed leads to trouble, and the truth always comes out in the end.
