On the edge of a green village, in a peaceful farm, lived a rooster named Rocky and a dog named Bruno. Rocky was famous for his bright, fire-red feathers and his loud voice. Every morning, he would wake up the whole village with his “cock-a-doodle-doo” call. Bruno was a loyal and strong dog who spent his days watching over the farm and protecting everyone from any trouble.
Many other animals lived on the farm too – chickens, goats, cows, and sheep. All the animals loved Rocky and Bruno very much because they always protected everyone. Rocky would roam around the farm all day, pecking at grain and playing with the other chickens. Bruno would watch everywhere with his sharp eyes, making sure there was no danger.
One evening, as the sun began to set and the sky turned orange, a clever fox quietly sneaked into the village. The fox was very hungry and looking for easy prey. Her bright eyes were fixed on the chicken coop where Rocky and the other chickens lived. The fox’s mouth watered when she saw the fat, healthy chickens.
Very carefully, without making any sound, the fox began crawling toward the chicken coop. Her soft paws moved silently on the grass. She hid behind the bushes, slowly getting closer to her prey.
But Bruno, who was resting near the barn, caught the fox’s scent with his sharp sense of smell. His ears stood up and he saw the fox crawling near the coop. Bruno immediately became alert and knew this was a sign of danger.
Bruno immediately started barking loudly, “Woof-woof-woof! The fox is here! Everyone be careful!” His voice echoed throughout the farm, warning all the animals.
Hearing Bruno’s barking, Rocky immediately understood there was danger. He quickly flew up to the highest post on the fence and began crowing loudly, “Cock-a-doodle-doo! The fox is here! The fox is here! Everyone save yourselves!” His voice was so loud that all the nearby animals woke up.
The sudden noise startled the fox. Her plan had failed, but she wasn’t ready to give up. She tried to approach the coop again, but Bruno immediately ran and blocked her way.
“You can’t go any further, fox!” Bruno said, growling and showing his teeth, standing ready to protect his friends. His eyes showed determination and he was completely ready to fight.
The fox realized it wouldn’t be easy to get past this strong and brave dog. Rocky was also constantly shouting from above and the whole farm was awake. The other animals were also making noise from fear.
The fox understood that she wouldn’t be able to hunt today. Disappointed, she immediately turned and ran quickly toward the forest, disappearing into the darkness.
Rocky and Bruno stood together, feeling proud of their teamwork. “We make a great team,” Rocky said, flapping his wings. “True friends always protect each other.”
Bruno wagged his tail happily and said, “Yes Rocky, as long as we’re together, no one can harm our friends.”
From that day on, all the farm animals knew that as long as Rocky and Bruno were together, nothing could harm them. The story of their friendship and courage spread throughout the village, and everyone began praising their loyalty.
