One day, I was walking in the forest near my grandma’s house. I saw birds flying, and I picked some red leaves. Then I saw something shiny on the ground. It was a tiny little seed! It was not just brown—it had a little gold and silver sparkles on it! I said, “Wow!” and picked it up very carefully.
I took the shiny seed home and showed it to Mama. She said, “Let’s plant it!” So we got a small pot, and I put the seed inside the dirt. Then I gave it some water and put it near my window. I said, “Please grow, little seed!”
I looked at the pot every day. I talked to the seed. I said “Good morning!” and “I hope you’re not cold!” I even sang my favorite song to it. But the seed didn’t grow.
After many days, I felt a little sad. “Maybe it’s a sleepy seed,” I said to Mama. She smiled and said, “Just be patient. Seeds take time.”
One night, I was sleeping in my bed, and I heard a soft whoosh whoosh sound. I opened my eyes and looked at the pot—and guess what? The seed had sprouted! A teeny tiny green thing was coming out!
I was so happy I danced in my room!
Every day, I took care of the little plant. I gave it water, and I talked to it more. It got bigger and bigger. One day, it became a tree! A real tree with shiny green leaves that made soft sounds when the wind blew.
Then, a man walked by our house. He looked tired. He sat under my tree and smiled. He asked, “How did this tree grow so big and pretty?”
I said, “I loved it and waited and sang to it!”
The man said, “That’s a very special tree.”
Now lots of people come to see my tree. They sit under it, and they smile too.
I think my tree is happy.
Moral of the story:
If you love something and take care of it, and wait patiently, it will grow into something wonderful.
