A long time ago, in a small village, there lived a poor woodcutter. He was honest and hardworking, but he barely earned enough to live. One day, while cutting wood in the forest, he found an old, shiny, beautiful bell.
The woodcutter thought, “This bell might be useful. I’ll take it home.” When he rang the bell, a magical voice said, “You have awakened me. Now I will grant your every wish.”
The woodcutter was shocked. He thought for a moment and said, “I need a strong axe to cut wood.” As soon as he rang the bell, a shiny axe appeared in front of him.
Slowly, the woodcutter used the bell to meet his needs. But he was never greedy. He also helped the people in his village. If someone needed food, he would ring the bell to help them.
The villagers were very happy with the woodcutter’s honesty and kindness. They made him the most respected person in the village.
Lesson from the story:
Honesty and helping others bring true happiness and respect in life.
